Dave Nolle, the father of three young Duluthians, recently retired as executive director from a successful career in one of the world’s largest and most reputable leadership, character, and citizenship building organizations. Repeatedly growing the organization through the engaging volunteers, Dave was known for thrifty, back-to-basics and ‘common-sense’ leadership that resulted in balanced budgets, quality programming, and increased stakeholder engagement.
Dave currently serves as treasurer of The Rotary Club of Duluth “Club 25.” He has served as a board member, secretary and board chair of his children’s charter school. Additionally Dave: served a term of elected office to Rural Water District #8, and as chair of the stewardship board of his church.
First elected to office by his peers at age 11, Dave progressed through the ranks of the Boy Scouts of America achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. He went on to be elected as the Chief of his community’s Scouting honor society made up of more than 6,000 active members.
In his spare time you may see Dave and family touring the region in one of the Nolle family’s classic automobiles (Great-grandpa’s 1953 F100, Dave’s 1972 F100 or the newest member of the family, a 1928 Model A).
A recipient of the Duluth 20 Under 40 Award, Dave learned quickly after moving to Duluth that this community is THE place to raise his family.
